Who this policy covers
This policy describes the Marriage iOS and Android app provided by MeroCircle LLC. It covers the app’s handling of information, including camera use, saved games, backups and sharing. For questions, contact support@merocircle.com.
Information handled on your device
Marriage stores information you enter or choose to save: player names and identities, game names and rosters, rules, round results, Maal, notes, dates, point rates, currencies, recorded payments and collection history. It also stores your current hand, Tiplu reference, card declarations, preferences and named rule presets.
This information is used to calculate and display scores, restore your saved games and preferences, and provide the backup and sharing features you request. Normal use of the app does not send this information to MeroCircle. No account is required.
Camera and selected photos
Camera access is optional and is used when you choose to photograph cards or scan a table-rules QR code. You can also choose a photo through the system photo picker or enter cards manually. Card detection, text recognition and QR decoding run on your device. The app does not upload your photos to MeroCircle or a remote recognition service, or use them to train a shared model.
Images are used for the scan and review process; reviewed card values may be saved in your hand. Temporary capture files may remain in the app’s private cache until cleanup or removal of app data. Original photos in your photo library remain under your control. You can revoke camera permission in your device settings.
No ads, analytics or tracking
The current Marriage app has no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. Recognition uses bundled models and on-device libraries, including ONNX Runtime, Apple Vision on iOS and bundled ML Kit text recognition on Android. The app does not send scan images to those providers for recognition.
Backups, QR codes and sharing
Exported game backups can contain player names, scores, notes, rules, rates and payment history. Share or store them only with people and services you choose. Rules QR codes contain table settings and may include the Tiplu reference and rate or currency; they do not contain player rosters, hands, scores or payment history.
When you export a backup, share a summary or QR code, or choose a file from another service, the operating system and destination app or storage provider handle that transfer under their own policies. Exported and shared copies may remain outside Marriage. Opening a website link also lets that website process the request under its own privacy policy.
Storage, retention and deletion
Saved game data and preferences stay locally until changed or removed. Archiving a game keeps it; it does not delete it. Individual games can be deleted where the app permits, while games with recorded collections may need to remain archived to preserve linked records.
To remove all local app data, use Android’s Clear storage option or delete the app on iOS using Delete App, rather than Offload App. Separately delete exported backups or shared files from Files, cloud storage, email or other destinations where you saved them. Device backups may retain copies according to your operating-system settings; manage those copies with your device or backup provider. MeroCircle does not hold a server copy of your saved games and cannot remotely recover or delete them.
Security
The app relies on your device’s app storage protections. Protect your device and any backup files you export. No device or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
Support and this website
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and retain it as needed to handle the request and applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending player or payment details unless needed for your request.
Visiting this policy or another MeroCircle webpage involves a normal web request. The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and access logs to deliver and secure the site. That website activity is separate from the app’s offline game and scan processing. See the MeroCircle website privacy policy for more information.
Children’s privacy
Marriage does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support service, contact us so we can address it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. For privacy requests or questions, email support@merocircle.com.
