Overview

This policy explains what MeroCircle collects, how we use and share it, how advertising and marketplace features work, and the choices available to you.

MeroCircle is owned and operated by MeroCircle LLC.

What we collect

  • Account — name, username, and contact info you provide.
  • Content and communications — photos, videos, Voice posts, music, moments, comments, messages, reports, and other content you create or send.
  • Usage, device, and diagnostics — app interactions, searches, app version, device type, IP address, crash data, performance data, push tokens, and advertising or app identifiers.
  • Optional permissions — location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, and notifications when you choose features that need them.
  • Marketplace and seller data — delivery and billing contact details, order and purchase history, product and return details, and seller identity, tax, payout, and verification information.
  • Facial Geometry Data (TrueDepth API) — collected only if you use our 3D effects or filters. It is processed locally and in real time and is not stored or shared by MeroCircle.

How we use it

  • Provide feeds, posting, profiles, messaging, Shop/Sell, delivery, support, and other requested features.
  • Protect the community (security, spam and abuse prevention, legal compliance).
  • Process payments, orders, shipping, returns, refunds, seller onboarding, and legally required commerce records.
  • Measure reliability and usage, diagnose crashes, personalize content, and display or measure ads subject to your consent and device settings.
  • Facial Geometry Data is used only to enable 3D effects or filters. It is not used for identification, advertising, or marketing.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your personal data.
  • We don’t store complete payment-card numbers; card payments are processed by Stripe.

Sharing

We use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, payments, seller payouts, shipping, messaging, and support. These may include Google/Firebase and AdMob, Stripe, and shipping or regional payment partners. We may also disclose information when required by law, to prevent fraud or harm, or as part of a business transaction. Sellers and delivery providers receive only the order information needed to fulfill a transaction.

Ads & monetization

MeroCircle's native apps may display ads in Photo, Video, and Voice feeds. Website ads are currently disabled while AdSense approval is pending. Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, and ad performance data when ads are enabled in a native app. Where required, we request consent before asking for ads. You can revisit available choices from Privacy Choices in the app and can also use your device privacy settings. Content remains available if an ad cannot load.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the service, safety, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. An account-deletion request hides and disables the account and starts a 30-day cancellation window. Verified email requests use the same workflow as in-app requests. After that window, deletion runs in resumable stages and is not marked complete until required Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, and authentication cleanup is verified. Eligible account, profile projection, social, chat, media, notification, report, ride-presence/index, and seller-product data is deleted. Completed or financial ride records and order, payment, tax, refund, return, fraud, payout, and settlement records may be retained where legally or operationally required. Retention is limited to permitted operational and financial fields; direct account identifiers, contact details, and provider-account references are removed or replaced with a pseudonymous deleted-account identifier.

Your choices

  • Access or delete your account and content.
  • Manage ad consent through Privacy Choices when available.
  • Control notifications.
  • Control optional permissions in device settings.
