MeroScan runs fully on your device. We don’t collect your personal information, and we don’t upload your documents.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MeroScan handles data. MeroScan is designed to work offline and process documents locally on your device.

No account. No tracking.

MeroScan does not require you to create an account, and it does not use analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs.

What we collect

We do not collect personal information (such as name, email, phone number), and we do not collect your scanned documents or photos.

Local processing & storage

Scanning, edge detection, cropping, PDF creation, PDF merging, and passport photo creation are processed on your device. Files created by the app are stored locally on your device and/or in locations you choose (for example, the Files app).

Sharing & uploads

MeroScan does not upload your documents to any server and does not share your data with anyone. If you choose to export or share a file, it will be handled by the destination you select (such as Files, iCloud Drive, Email, or another app).

Files you export are controlled by you

Exported/shared copies may remain in the Files app or other apps/services you choose. You can delete those copies from those locations at any time.

Data deletion

You can delete documents within the app at any time. You can also remove all locally stored app data by uninstalling MeroScan.

Children’s privacy

MeroScan does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page.
